The Lower Burrell Police Department is accepting applications for the Lower Burrell Citizen Police Academy that will begin on March 9, 2023 at the City of Lower Burrell Municipal Building. Classes will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All classes will be on Thursdays. This will provide a wide range of information intended to help you better understand the goals, objectives, rules, responsibilities, and legal parameters under which our police department functions. It is also designed to enhance community security, heighten the citizens' power of observation and to encourage mutual assistance and concern among neighbors. The class size will be limited to twenty-five (25) Lower Burrell residents. Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older. Classes will be March 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, April 13th, 20th, 27th, May 4th,11th, and 18th.
