LOWER BURRELL CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY
The Lower Burrell Police Department will begin its Citizens Police Academy. The dates will be March March 5th, 12th, 26th, April 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, May 7th, 14th, and 21st, 2026. The Academy is based on the theory that the more we know about one another, the more we can help one another. This community service program is designed to promote “Partnerships through Education”. During the Academy’s ten-week session, you will be provided with a wide range of information intended to help you better understand the goals and objectives, rules and responsibilities and legal parameters under which the Police Department functions. If any Lower Burrell residents are interested in attending the Citizens Police Academy applications can be picked up at the Lower Burrell Police Department, our website www.lowerburrellpolice.org or by calling 724-339-4287 ext. 268. The deadline for applications will be February 27, 2026.
